Major contract win sees Transmec Germany open a logistics gateway

Branch to collect and deliver parts from 200 suppliers

Trusted logistics expertise has led to a further contract win for Transmec’s division in Germany.

TransmecDeBortoliGroup (TDBG) Germany has been appointed as a national logistics gateway for a global industrial machinery manufacturer.

Led by its branch in Heiligenhaus in the Rhine-Ruhr area, TDBG will coordinate the delivery of parts from over 200 suppliers across Germany.

The branch will collect and collate parts to deliver up to six full loads per day to four of the client’s distribution and manufacturing sites in northern Europe.

We’re delighted to win the contract, which is an extension of our existing service for the same client over the past ten years,” said branch manager Massimiliano De Martino.

The company also works with Transmec in Italy, the UK and France, so knows we can be trusted to provide the services they require. We’re really looking forward to getting started.”

The contract is also similar to another long-running logistics service that TDBG Germany provides in the UK and France for another machinery manufacturer.

We take pride in providing bespoke logistics services that meet clients’ supply chain requirements. This has resulted in close, effective and long-running working relationships,” added Massimiliano.

Established in Germany for more than 25 years, TDBG has a further hub at Unterschleißheim near Munich. Warehousing capacity at both branches totals more than 6,000 square metres.
