Transmec among the sponsors of the Tembaine Desert Rally: let the desert set you free!

From 23 to 30 November 2025, the Sahara will once again become the stage for an extraordinary adventure: the Tembaine Desert Rally, now in its second edition.

Amid the golden dunes of Tunisia, Transmec Group will stand alongside two athletes, ready to push their limits.
In addition to being a sponsor, Transmec also supports the event behind the scenes, providing its well-established expertise in the territory as a logistics partner.

Six days, over 500 kilometres on e-bikes, from Douz, the ‘gateway to the Sahara’, to the majestic dunes of Tembaine. One hundred athletes will test themselves against the power and beauty of the desert.

The Tembaine Desert Rally offers a new way to experience adventure: an event where adrenaline meets ecological responsibility. Every aspect of the rally is designed to protect the Saharan ecosystem, turning a sporting challenge into a model of concrete sustainability.

The energy required to recharge the e-bikes comes from renewable sources: portable solar panels are moved from stage to stage, also powering the bivouacs with clean energy.

Everything operates under the “leave no trace” principle, guiding every organisational decision. Temporary infrastructures are built from recycled materials, while composting and waste separation systems minimise environmental impact. The goal is clear: to cross the desert without altering it, preserving it as a temple of sand and light.

But the sustainability of Tembaine goes beyond the environment. The rally is also a social project, directly involving the Berber and Tuareg communities of southern Tunisia. Local residents take part in route planning, logistics, and stage management, bringing the voice of the community.

The initiative generates genuine development opportunities: from training mechanics and technical staff to promoting sustainable tourism. It also leaves a tangible mark with the construction of a well in the village of El Mida, where water remains a precious resource.

By supporting the Tembaine Desert Rally, a project that turns competition into a path of growth for both athletes and the environment, Transmec once again confirms its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
