Transmec accelerates sustainability with Guarantees of Origin

Transparency, responsibility, and concrete action: this is how Transmec interprets sustainability.

For 2025, the company has decided to certify the energy consumption of its Italian sites through Guarantees of Origin (GOs).

In the Italian locations, part of the energy already comes from self-generation through photovoltaic systems, such as the one at the Campogalliano headquarters. However, not all consumption can be covered internally, and the remaining demand is met by purchasing from the energy market.

This is where GOs come into play: electronic certificates that confirm that an equivalent amount of energy from renewable sources has been fed into the national grid.

Transmec has already purchased over 1,000 GO certificates, covering 50% of the energy consumption of its Italian sites in 2025.

“By March 2026 we will complete the purchase of the remaining 50%,” explains Luigi Faraone, Facility & HSE Department Manager at Transmec.

“We want to bring transparency to our consumption and make our commitment to sustainability tangible.”

Lucia Grassi, Operations Manager and Head of the Group’s Sustainability Team, adds:
“Guarantees of Origin are not a finishing line but a starting point.

“It is a path we intend to strengthen year after year, turning decarbonisation into a constant practice in our daily operations.”
