15 Years of Transmec To Be: A Partner of Excellence for FMCG Logistics

A proven journey through the implementation of cutting-edge logistical solutions and strong operational and organisational integration with its clients.

In the dynamic landscape of modern logistics, the fifteenth anniversary of Transmec To Be offers an opportunity to analyse the evolution of an operational and organisational model launched in February 2011.

The initial goal — integrating the multi-sector experience of the Transmec Group with the specific expertise of Brand Industry and Large-Scale Retail — has resulted, since the start, in an organisation capable of meeting the rigorous demands of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector and its distribution channels.

Today, the company manages a turnover exceeding €100 million, positioning itself as a leading partner in the Contract Logistics segment.

"We were founded with the intent of guaranteeing our clients strategic and innovative support, investing in long-term relationships and committing ourselves to the continuous pursuit of the highest standards of safety, quality, and competitiveness," says Marco Borea, CEO of To Be.

"The consolidation of our market position, even in moments of uncertainty and macro-economic difficulty such as those we have witnessed in recent years, confirms the validity of an approach that combines product and service culture with operational and organisational capabilities."

Territorial presence and technical expertise

The Transmec To Be network spans a European scale, with a strategic axis between Italy and France. Through the direct management of over 250,000 square metres of warehousing, the company ensures coverage of all logistical services via its key hubs, from Lyon to Caserta, including sites in Turin, Milan, Monza Brianza, and Florence.

These facilities, specialised in the exclusive handling of food and compatible products, are managed through rigorous protocols to ensure high quality standards, maximum operational flexibility, and a wide range of value-added services (from co-packing to B2C services, pallet management to reverse logistics).

The connection between logistics hubs and the market is guaranteed by a certified network of primary transport and distribution (over 20 local Transit Points), centrally coordinated via a proprietary TMS system. This allows for optimised route planning, delivery slot bookings, shipment tracking, and daily delivery status updates.

Massimo Carta, COO of To Be, emphasises:

"Our specific activity requires high flexibility and elevated quality standards. Our processes are certified both to give our clients and partners the maximum guarantee of safety and quality, and to allow us to constantly monitor our performance.

For years we have invested in sustainability and are able to provide all clients with timely, analytical reporting regarding the emissions impact of every single delivery."

In these fifteen years, Transmec To Be has worked to transform logistical complexity into a fluid and transparent process. Today's milestone is not just a numerical figure, but the confirmation of a working method based on long-term collaboration and technical expertise at the service of the FMCG sector.
