Modena’s robotic area secures second place as "Project of the Year" according to the prestigious German magazine materialfluss.
The future of logistics is no longer a hypothesis, but a fast-moving reality within the aisles of Transmec Group’s robotised hub.
This has been confirmed on one of the industry's most authoritative stages: materialfluss, the long-standing German publication specialising in logistics, intralogistics, and material handling, which awarded the collaboration between Transmec and INCAS - SSI SCHÄFER GROUP second place in the "Project of the Year 2026" category.
At the heart of this recognition is the revolutionary RackBot System Compact, a solution that has transformed the Modena warehouse into a cutting-edge hub. But why did this project so clearly win over the jurors and readers? The answer lies in the perfect balance between advanced automation, intelligent software, and sustainability.
It is not just a flexible ecosystem that optimises space and exponentially speeds up flows, but a model of responsible logistics. In fact, the entire Modena hub is powered by clean energy from solar panel systems, drastically reducing the carbon footprint of operations and providing customers with both an operational and ethical competitive advantage.
Simone Corradini, General Manager of Transmec Group’s T-Log logistics division, expressed great satisfaction with the milestone achieved: "This recognition rewards a vision that puts technological innovation and sustainability at the service of operational efficiency. Being on the materialfluss podium confirms that the path towards 'smart & green' logistics is the correct one."
To truly understand how technology and sustainability merge into a single vision, one must see the RackBots in action. Their fluid movements between the aisles and the millimetric precision of the automated management tell the story of Transmec’s new era of logistics better than a thousand words. Watch the video.
