Materiality analysis: the choices that give value to the way we do business
How Transmec is bringing together strategy, performance and responsibility towards people, the environment and communities.
Sustainability is not just a principle: it becomes tangible when it shapes everyday decisions and guides business development.
For Transmec, the Materiality analysis represents exactly this: a strategic tool that enables sustainability commitments to be translated into operational priorities, fully integrated into the business model, as outlined in the 2024 Sustainability Report.
Through a structured and highly participatory approach, the Group involved top management and managers from its international locations in a process of listening, dialogue and assessment. A dedicated workshop made it possible to identify and analyse the most relevant sustainability topics, bringing together different perspectives and complementary expertise.
The result is an integrated vision, capable of coherently linking operational performance with social and environmental impacts across the entire value chain. An approach that enables the Group to manage change with awareness, responsibility and a long-term outlook.
The Materiality analysis led to the identification of 11 key topics, organised into four strategic areas of commitment:
People before numbers: protecting health and safety, promoting organisational wellbeing and developing skills as the foundations of sustainable growth
Environmental footprint: responsible management of energy and emissions, and the development of logistics solutions aimed at reducing environmental impact
Shared value and responsibility towards the community: ethics, compliance and attention to social impacts as pillars of relationships with local areas, customers and partners
Operational excellence and innovation: service quality, innovation, responsible supply chain management and cybersecurity in support of a solid and resilient business model
Sustainability gains value when it stops being an abstract concept and becomes a practical guide for everyday choices.
With the Materiality analysis, Transmec gives shape to this commitment: it listens to its stakeholders, manages complexity and turns data and assessments into informed decisions capable of generating value over time.
