Brașov warehouse doubles down to fuel growth

In Brașov, Transmec’s warehouse facility has recently undergone a remarkable transformation, doubling its operational space from 2,000 to 4,000 square metres.

This significant expansion reflects a strategic response to growing customer demand and reinforces the Group’s dedication to strengthening its service capabilities throughout Romania and beyond.

The enlarged warehouse now boasts an impressive capacity of approximately 7,000 pallet positions, effectively doubling the site's storage capabilities to better serve clients across the automotive, retail, and industrial sectors.

The modernised warehouse incorporates cutting-edge infrastructure designed to optimise operational efficiency. New features include state-of-the-art racking systems, energy-efficient LED lighting, and an upgraded Warehouse Management System (WMS) that delivers enhanced inventory control and visibility.

The facility's layout has been meticulously redesigned to streamline both inbound and outbound logistics flows, reducing processing times and improving overall service quality.

Environmental responsibility remains at the forefront of Transmec's operations. The expanded facility incorporates sustainable technologies including improved insulation, energy-efficient lighting systems, and comprehensive waste sorting and recycling programmes that significantly reduce the facility's environmental footprint.

The decision to expand was motivated by consistent growth in customer demand and the strategic need to consolidate additional services under one roof. This consolidation approach not only improves operational efficiency but also enables Transmec to offer clients a more comprehensive range of logistics solutions from a single location.

Together with the Oradea warehouse comprising 8,300 sqm of warehouse space and the Bucharest facility offering 1,000 sqm of warehouse space, Transmec's Romanian warehouses now exceed 13,000 sqm of total storage capacity, establishing a robust logistics network capable of serving clients across the country with exceptional efficiency and reliability.
