Barcelona branch raises the bar with ISO 14001 certification
A new milestone that reinforces the Group’s commitment to sustainability and brings benefit to its customers.
The Barcelona branch has officially obtained the ISO 14001 certification, a globally recognised standard for environmental management systems.
This achievement confirms the implementation of effective processes designed to monitor, manage, and continually reduce the environmental impact of daily operations.
In preparation for certification, the team undertook a comprehensive analysis of existing procedures, identifying how each activity affects the environment. From there, they designed a robust Environmental Policy that now guides all operations — from transportation by land, air, and sea, to warehousing, merchandise management, and activities in corporate offices.
This policy also extends to relationships with suppliers and partners, ensuring that sustainability is embedded across the entire value chain.
For customers, it offers the assurance of collaborating with a logistics provider that integrates environmental responsibility into every aspect of the supply chain.
TDBG Spain has established clear and measurable environmental objectives as part of its commitment to continuous improvement. These include minimising CO₂ emissions through optimised routes and efficient fleets, reducing energy, water, and paper consumption across all facilities, and promoting the use of recyclable and reusable packaging.
Sustainability is also a shared value across the organisation. Ongoing training sessions help raise awareness and promote good environmental practices at all levels, fostering a culture in which every individual plays a part in protecting the planet.
“This certification reflects the dedication and responsibility of our team,” said Alberto Loeches, Managing Director of TDBG Spain.
“It’s a further step in our journey towards a more sustainable logistics model — one that benefits our customers, our communities, and the environment.”
The achievement marks another step forward in a wider strategy to embed sustainability across the Group’s network and to support clients in reaching their own environmental goals.
With a presence stretching across the country, TDBG Spain brings together 120 skilled professionals who drive its operations forward every day. Backed by 30,000 sqm of logistics warehousing, the team supports a seamless network that connects key regions through five strategic hubs — Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, Valencia, and Bilbao.
