The true value of teamwork

Behind the hundreds of emails exchanged daily between company branches are the voices, talents, and people who often collaborate on the same projects without ever having met face to face.

In late October, Transmec decided to bridge that gap. More than 70 colleagues from key Italian branches - including Campogalliano, Milan, Brendola, Rimini, and Binasco - gathered to finally put faces to names, share handshakes, and bring fresh energy to working relationships built at a distance.

The journey began deep in the Frasassi Caves, one of central Italy's most remarkable subterranean cave networks.

Participants chose their own pace: a classic guided tour amidst millennia-old rock formations and striking natural chambers, or an adventurous trek for the more daring, where navigating the dark immediately sparked teamwork, trust, and mutual support.

Moving from the calm underground to the lively surface, the following day saw the historic coastal city of Rimini turn into the arena for the "City Express" challenge.

Mixed teams drawn from different branches competed under three guiding principles: Create, Find, and Convince. The result was an energetic urban treasure hunt packed with riddles to solve and timed missions to climb the leaderboard.

Without strict manuals or protocols to rely on, teams leaned on creativity, lateral thinking, and persuasive communication to engage passers-by and complete their challenges. In that dynamic setting, regional distinctions vanished, making way for shared problem-solving and spontaneous cross-functional collaboration.

The real return on this experience lies in everyday operations: communication flows more naturally, mutual trust breaks down silos, and team belonging takes on genuine meaning.

For Transmec, creating real opportunities for connection across different locations is a core priority. It is about fostering a collaborative culture where colleagues do not just work well together, but actively share a collective ambition to grow, succeed, and make a difference.
