UK logistics investment delivers for clients

Committed investment of more than £500,000 in the Redditch warehouse up to 2026 is already delivering value-adding pick and pack capability for clients, and the service is now set to expand.

The branch offers more than 35,000 sq ft (3,300 sq m) of space for contract logistics and the West Thurrock branch’s move to a larger, state-of-the-art facility next year will significantly extend UK capacity.

“We can now provide far more for clients. In the Midlands we’ve invested heavily in developing pick and pack solutions that are proving very successful for fashion and automotive customers,” explained assistant branch manager, Daniel Holmes.

“We offer specialist racking, equipment and an expert team with experience of managing wide-ranging e-commerce logistics, including returns and repacking.”

UK facilities are able to manage logistics contracts independently or in conjunction with Transmec’s branches across the EU, which include seven locations in Italy, three in Germany and four in Spain.

“Transmec provides a wide range of options which have certainly proved attractive to those looking for a tailored service,” added Daniel.

“A further strength is our in-house customs expertise and the London branch’s forthcoming move will provide even more opportunities.”
