Sweet success for International Women’s Day at London Gateway
From chocolate treats to powerful messages, the Transmec UK team celebrates the 115th anniversary of IWD with the “Give to Gain” spirit.
At Transmec Group, the belief that a world where difference is valued is a world where everyone moves forward together remains a core principle.
Last week, the London Gateway branch brought this vision to life, hosting a vibrant celebration ahead of International Women’s Day on 8th March.
Marking the 115th anniversary of this global movement, the LGW team embraced the 2026 theme, “Give to Gain.”
To kick off the celebrations, the branch was filled with smiles as branded IWD chocolate lollipops were distributed to all female colleagues. A small, sweet token of appreciation for the immense value they bring to the business every day. This gesture served as a catalyst for conversation and a celebration of the unique contributions made by women across the branch.
Beyond the treats, the message was one of substance. An informational campaign was circulated across the site, inviting every team member to reflect on the importance of forging a gender-equal world, free of bias and stereotypes.
The photographs from the day captured the true essence of the event. From the warehouse floor to the office desks, the spirit of camaraderie was palpable. These moments of connection do more than just mark a date on the calendar; they reinforce the supportive, positive relationships that define the Transmec family.
"As we reflect on 115 years of International Women’s Day, our London Gateway initiative stands as a testament to the culture we are building together.
“By embracing the ‘Give to Gain’ spirit, we’ve shown that when we lead with generosity and celebrate each achievement, we don’t just empower our female colleagues, we strengthen the entire Transmec community for a more equitable future" remarked Danielle Heijlond, HR Advisor.
