London Gateway goes pink for breast cancer awareness

Transmec UK employees unite to raise funds and show solidarity

On Friday 24th October, the London Gateway team came together for a powerful display of solidarity, participating in the annual ‘Wear it Pink’ charity initiative.

Every year, thousands of people don pink to raise awareness of breast cancer, and at Transmec UK, the initiative took on a heartfelt dimension.

Employees at London Gateway showed their support by wearing pink and joining a cake sale, raising a generous sum for Breast Cancer Now.

Their contributions will help fund vital research, provide essential resources for those affected, and maintain support services, making a real difference for the breast cancer community.

Awareness was further amplified through informative posters and leaflets distributed across the site, highlighting that breast cancer affects not only women but men too.

Danielle Heijlond, HR Advisor at Transmec UK, said that the day was a wonderful example of how the company’s commitment to social responsibility comes to life.

She added, “It was truly inspiring to see our London Gateway team come together, not just to raise funds, but to show compassion, support each other, and raise awareness for such an important cause.
