Industry-leading additions to the Midlands fleet
Transmec’s UK fleet continues its evolution with the arrival of four high-specification tractor units at the Redditch branch.
Serving customers across the Midlands and beyond, these award-winning DAF XF vehicles bring a suite of industry-leading features to the front line of the Group’s operations.
Efficiency is engineered into every mile.
Through advanced aerodynamics and sophisticated driving management systems, including a Driver Performance Assistant (DPA), the fleet is configured to maximise fuel economy while keeping CO2 emissions to a minimum.
Safety is equally high-priority; the units feature advanced emergency braking, stability control, and lane departure warnings, alongside a multi-camera setup for total visibility.
Transport manager Simon Print said: “These are excellent all-round tractor units and the investment reflects our ongoing commitment to providing a service that our customers can depend on.
“By upgrading at regular intervals, we ensure our technology never stands still. These units will be put through their paces for a prime four-year cycle before we move to the next generation of innovation.”
The new vehicles follow the arrival of four similar-spec tractor units at the Bradford branch, which covers the north of England and Scotland.”
