Transmec RO cultivates a sustainable legacy in Săcădat
Transmec Group strengthens its regional commitment through the fourth consecutive reforestation of Bihor County.
The landscape of Săcădat in north-western Romania now carries the permanent mark of Transmec RO’s dedication to the environment.
In a powerful display of community spirit, the company for the fourth year in a row transitioned its "green headquarters" to the field, joining forces with the "Plantam Speranță" Association.
This mission, part of the "O Pădure de la Zero" initiative, saw 30 volunteers, comprising both employees and their families, exchange the fast-paced world of logistics for the patient, vital work of reforestation.
It is a collaborative vision shared by the local business community, as several companies from the Oradea Industrial Park were also part of this project, working together to enhance the region's natural heritage.
The effort resulted in the successful planting of 600 saplings, creating a vital green belt for the Săcădat community.
This action represents a deep-seated investment in the local ecosystem, where Transmec RO provided both the physical manpower and the necessary financial backing to secure high-quality saplings and essential technical equipment.
The day was defined by a sense of shared purpose that spanned generations. By involving children in the planting process, Transmec RO actively transferred ecological values from parents to the future leaders of the region.
This hands-on approach ensures that the company’s sustainability goals are not just corporate targets, but lived experiences shared by the entire Transmec family.
"Our commitment to reforestation represents a deep-rooted responsibility toward the ecosystems where we operate," says Ioana Preda, HR Specialist at Transmec RO.
"By returning to Bihor County for the fourth year in a row, we are demonstrating that our vision for the future is as much about environmental health as it is about logistical excellence. Seeing our team work alongside their children reminds us that the most important thing we can transport is a better world for the generations to follow."
As these 600 saplings take root, they stand as a testament to what can be achieved when a logistics leader prioritises the health of its local communities. Transmec RO continues to demonstrate that its reach extends far beyond transport routes, planting the seeds for a more resilient and sustainable Bihor County.
