Promise kept: 100% renewable energy for Italian sites

Transmec closes the loop: the commitment made in November 2025 has become a reality.

The journey towards fully sustainable energy management has reached a fundamental milestone: total coverage of electricity consumption for Italian sites for the entire year 2025.

While the organisation had already secured 50% of its requirements in November, the receipt of the final official certificates confirms the definitive achievement.

Thanks to the integration of self-production from photovoltaic systems — the flagship of the Campogalliano headquarters — and the purchase of the remaining Guarantees of Origin (GO), the electricity needs of all offices and warehouses of the Transport and Logistics divisions located throughout Italy are now fully met by clean, traceable, and certified sources.

GOs represent the fundamental technical tool to ensure that every kilowatt-hour of electricity taken from the grid corresponds to energy produced from renewable sources and fed into the national system.

“We have stuck to the roadmap we set for ourselves,” says Luigi Faraone, Facility & HSE Department Manager.

“With this final step, the electricity consumption of all our Italian sites for 2025 is entirely covered by green energy. We want our growth to be sustainable for everyone. Being transparent about consumption is, first and foremost, a gesture of respect towards the future of our territory.”

Far from being an isolated result, this milestone marks the consolidation of a structural operating practice.

Lucia Grassi, Operations Manager and Head of the Group's Sustainability Team, adds:

“This achievement belongs to all our stakeholders who share our goal of a greener supply chain.

We are proud of the goal reached, but we are already prepared to start again: as early as June, we will return to work to plan coverage for 2026 and ensure that every one of our Italian hubs continues to move with clean energy.”
