Transmec has won one of Romania’s most prestigious transport and logistics awards.
Coming out out on top at the recent Tranzit Awards, Transmec Ro was named as the country’s most effective integrator of transport, logistics and forwarding.
More than 750 people attended the event held in the north-western city of Cluj-Napoca.
Run by Tranzit magazine, the awards are judged by analysing official financial data relating to the performance of the top 100 transport and logistics companies, as well as the leading carriers.
Transmec Ro, which was only established in 2007, was the best performing in the transport and logistics category.
“It’s fantastic to win and everyone at Transmec Ro is very proud of this achievement,” said general manager, Liviu Burghelea.
“Not only does it recognise the work carried out by the team over a full year, it also shows us that we are on the right path in terms of choosing the best solutions for our customers and investing permanently in environmentally-friendly and efficient transport options.”
Transmec Ro operates branches in Bucharest, Oradea, Brasov and Timisoara.
Oradea is also home to Transmec Group’s main intermodal hub, with a growing number of trans-European services operating to and from the private rail terminal.
