Transmaniacs overcome obstacles for charity

A team of feisty females from Transmec’s Thurrock depot got covered in mud as they raised more than £1,300 for cancer research.

Calling themselves the Transmaniacs, Georgina Claydon, Irene Cargnel, Aneta Panimaz, Helen Boosey and former colleague Cui French all completed a 5km obstacle course as part of the Pretty Muddy Race for Life held in Basildon.

Deputy manager Andi Hannay helped secure additional donations which ensured the team smashed their original fundraising target.

Transmaniac Helen Boosey said: “It was a really rewarding experience. We had great fun on the day and everyone put a lot of effort into the fundraising - we’re delighted with the amount we raised.”
