Transmec is a ‘business partner’ in a new Spanish language course aimed specifically for transport and logistics students.
Launched at a conference on October 3, 2015, the unit forms part of the class II Transportation and Logistics course developed by the Primo Levi Institute in Milan.
Taught over five years, the course is designed to develop expert operators in the sector and an important element is the close collaboration with businesses – a move strongly-supported and initiated by the director Prof. Rita Troiani.
Transmec Group will be working in partnership with the Institute throughout the 2015/16 academic year, supporting its work to teach Spanish as a second language in addition to English.
To demonstrate the importance of the course and the school-business partnership, the launch event saw presentations by Giovan Battista Amodeo, Transmec’s Milan branch manager, Adam Ruffo, Transmec’s Air and Ocean Division director, and Giorgia Salvadore of the Group’s Sales and Marketing Division
Giovan Battista Amodeo said: “Transmec believes deeply in the importance of close cooperation between the world of education and the world of work and we are keen to play an active part in the development of these students.”
