Transmec opens new logistics hub in Poland
Transmec Poland has opened a state-of-the-art logistics hub in order to meet increasing demand.
Based on the Segro Logistics Park at Gliwice, near Katowice, the class A warehouse is in a prime location next to the A4 (east-west) and A1 (north-south) motorways.
“It’s the perfect site for extending our transport and logistics services, both domestically and internationally,” said Sylwia Maciejewska, director of Transmec Poland.
“We had outgrown our previous base at Tychy and the move to Gliwice will enable us to meet strong demand from existing clients and support new customers across Poland.”
The 2500 sq m, cross-dock and high-rack warehouse is equipped to optimise service to clients in a wide range of sectors, including automotive, fashion, high-tech, furniture and FMCG.
As well as targeting growth in contract logistics, the branch aims to increase its groupage services by connecting with Transmec’s branch network across western and southern Europe and establishing new routes in the CEE region.
