Transmec moves in southern Spain and launches new Africa link
Transmec’s rapidly-growing division in Spain has relocated its base in Granada and quickly launched a weekly service to Casablanca.
The move to bigger offices at Atarfe, closer to the main highway to Africa, led to immediate demand from partners for the new route.
“We’re now in a place where we can grow and keep pace with our other branches in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia,” explained Alberto Loeches, managing director, Transmec De Bortoli Group (TDBG) España.
“Communications are excellent - we’re closer to the airport and nearer to the highway which connects Europe with Africa.”
It was the inter-continental link that sparked interest, and the new service to Morocco, was duly launched within a week of the move.
“The service to Casablanca runs every Friday, operating alongside the one we already run from Barcelona,” added Alberto.
“It will prove useful not only for our Spanish branches, but for any Transmec branch or customer that is looking to take advantage of this road connection between Europe and Africa.”
