Transmec extends its logistics hub in Poland

Transmec Poland’s move to a state-of-the-art logistics hub has proved so successful that it has already increased capacity to keep up with new business.

A 1,500 sq m extension has opened less than 13 months after Transmec relocated to the class A warehouse at Segro Logistics Park Gliwice.

Providing additional cross-dock and long-term storage space, the extension raises the overall capacity to 4,000 sq m and adds a further five loading bays, bringing the total to 11.

“Our move to Gliwice has been extremely successful,” explained Sylwia Maciejewska, general director of Transmec Poland.

“The extra space and facilities are enabling us to deliver a full range of logistics solutions that we couldn’t offer at our previous warehouse in Tychy, and the response from both existing and new customers has been extremely positive.

“The extension is another important step forward, allowing us to do even more while remaining flexible and keeping lead times short.”

Transmec Poland’s storage, logistics and transportation solutions serve clients in a wide range of sectors, including automotive, fashion, high-tech, furniture and FMCG.

New customers include a premium glassware brand and a leading provider of advanced automation and robotization in industrial processes.

Transmec has also extended its collaboration with a multi-brand global producer, for whom it provides regular transport services to European destinations, including the UK.
