Transmec, a company that promotes health – it’s official!
Transmec Group has passed another important milestone in its pioneering welfare policy by becoming recognised as a "Company that promotes health".
In line with guidance for the Emilia Romagna region, a prevention plan for all employees has been approved for the year 2019-2020. This includes training sessions on correct lifestyles and the main causes of illness.
The aim of the Promotion of Health in the Workplace plan is to prevent or modify harmful behaviours that heighten the risk of contracting the main chronic diseases: cardiovascular diseases, tumours, respiratory diseases and diabetes.
Together with the regional ER health service, screening and preventive analyses are also planned to protect the health of employees and their families.
"We want everyone to be aware that prevention is a precious ally of their life and work,” says Franca Scagliarini, Transmec Group’s welfare manager.
"We would like to thank KnowAndBe.Live and Dr. Luigia Tauro who, during the first part of the course, helped Transmec employees to have ‘+ Knowledge’ and ‘- Fear’ on cancer diseases."
The prevention plan will involve all Transmec’s Italian branches and their respective health authorities.
