Sylwia speaks out for women in business

Transmec Poland’s General Director has stepped forward to champion women in business.

Speaking in Warsaw at the book launch of “50 Business Personalities”, Sylwia Maciejewska inspired the audience as she shared insights as a female manager in transport and logistics.

Sylwia, who has overseen a period of rapid expansion at Transmec’s Gliwice-based branch, is also featured in the book which is published by Business Woman & Life magazine.

Further activity has seen her become an ambassador for #nieczekam107lat, a group of experts, supported by ForbesWomen, who are dedicated to accelerating gender equality through awareness and action.

By sharing my perspective, I hope to show that women can enjoy a successful career and have a real impact in a traditionally male-dominated sector such as logistics,” she said.

Pioneering companies such as Transmec continue to lead the way in equality, but many other businesses need to catch up. Whilst there are clear signs of cultural change, it needs to happen faster."

Women should be able to use their talents and competences without any bias. Initiatives such as #nieczekam107lat enable us to challenge and change outdated thinking by ensuring the female point of view is heard.”

The gala launch of “50 Business Personalities” also supported the Rak’n’Roll Foundation. Transmec is proud to endorse this initiative which provides vital assistance to help cancer patients lead a normal life, including financial support for treatments, prosthetics, wigs, and other resources.
