Road services continue to deliver across Europe
Transmec’s road transport services have continued throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and are responding to increasing demand as restrictions ease throughout Europe.
International services – full load (FTL) part-load (LTL) and groupage - are now running according to regular daily and weekly schedules.
Served by Transmec’s extensive branch network, these cover destinations throughout Europe, including Italy, the UK and Ireland, Benelux, Spain, France, Germany, Romania, Poland, and Turkey.
Transportation manager, Paolo Montecchi, said: “Having our own fleet, as well as our own trains, has helped us to deliver for customers throughout a very challenging period for the freight transport industry.
“Initial, sector-wide capacity challenges were overcome and we’re pleased that all our usual services have now resumed.”
These include full, part-load services as well as contract logistics services covering key sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, fashion, technology and furniture.
In most cases, transit times are also back to normal although occasional delays can be expected.
Branches are working to meet rising demand as business and consumer activity increases.
