Opening the fast lane to Greece
Transmec has introduced a fast daily export service connecting the UK and Greece.
Provided from the main depots covering the North, Midlands and South East, the service is one of the quickest linking the two countries.
Freight is transported via Italy, transferred seamlessly via Transmec’s central hub near Modena and then overseas to receiving depots in Athens to Thessaloniki.
Onward delivery ranges from next day for locations around Athens and Thessaloniki to three to four days to the Greek islands.
“We’re offering a high-quality, door-to-door service that’s fast, reliable and convenient. It really builds on Transmec’s strengths around the Mediterranean,” explained regional sales manager, Mark Elliott.
“Customers benefit from premium frequency of departures, plus the control and service offered by Transmec's own vehicle fleet and its international branch network.”
The service caters for all types of palletised freight, with full-load transport available in addition to groupage and part-loads.
Transmec provides overland freight transport throughout Europe. In addition to Italy and Greece, it serves Mediterranean countries including Spain (and Portugal), France, Turkey, Morocco and Tunisia.
