Fashion and Sustainability: a pairing that’s possible, necessary and already in notion

Fashion takes a step forward and chooses electric for urban distribution

The fashion world has always been synonymous with creativity, evolution, and innovation. But today, innovation is no longer limited to design; the new challenge is embracing a sustainable growth model, one that blends style, environmental responsibility, and a positive social impact.

From emerging brands to renowned international names, the sector is undergoing a profound transformation, rethinking every stage of the value chain with a focus on ESG criteria.

Among the most challenging objectives are Scope 3 emissions, those indirect emissions generated throughout the product life cycle – from raw material sourcing to logistics, and even to the use and disposal of items by consumers.

It is in this area that strategic decisions truly make a difference. A concrete example? A well-known fashion brand has entrusted Transmec with distribution in the city of Rome using fully electric vehicles.

The numbers are clear: with vehicles capable of carrying 15-18 pallets and an average range of 225 km, around 1,300 deliveries will be made annually, covering a total of 33,000 km — all while reducing CO₂ emissions by 43% compared to diesel.

A tangible, measurable, and replicable step towards low-impact logistics.

This is the type of innovation that truly matters: the kind that translates into actions, results, and shared value. Because choosing sustainable transport solutions doesn't just mean reducing one’s carbon footprint; it also means actively participating in a systemic change, aligned with the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and with the expectations of increasingly aware stakeholders.

The future of fashion is here. It is electric, responsible, and surprisingly green.
