Eco design for new logistics hub
Construction work has begun on a new 50,000 m2 logistics area next to Transmec’s headquarters in Campogalliano, Italy.
The whole area will meet the APEA (Ecologically Equipped Production Areas) requirements of the Emilia Romagna region.
Specifically, the new buildings will follow an energy-efficient, thermal inertia design and will include solar panels.
The parking area will feature charging stations for electric vehicles, flower beds and trees, as well as parking spaces for bicycles following the construction of a new cycle path.
There will also be a dedicated building for drivers to take their breaks.
Work is expected to be completed by January 2022.
