Continuing growth for Transmec

Details of a record-breaking year in which Group revenues rose above 300 million euros were shared at Transmec’s annual meeting in Italy.

The event, held at “Florim Gallery” in Fiorano Modenese, near Modena, was attended by 300 employees from across Transmec’s global branch network.

They heard the Group’s plans for building on strong performances across its freight transport and logistics divisions.

Group CEO Danilo Montecchi said: “Meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations is vital. We will maintain our focus on providing tailor-made solutions and building strategic partnerships.

“Flexibility and innovation will underpin our approaches as will quality, safety and consideration for the environment – we’ll be continuing our 41 million euro investment in EURO 6 tractor units and intermodal services from our terminal at Oradea in Romania.”

Care for customers will be combined with care for Transmec’s 1,050 employees through the expansion of its pioneering corporate welfare platform.

Providing a range of employee benefits, the platform also promotes equal opportunities, better health and an improved work-life balance.

A presentation on welfare by Franca Scagliarini, HR Manager of Transmec Italy, was followed by speeches from external specialists who are supporting the new approach: Silvia Bolzoni of Zeta Service, with a project aimed at sensitizing companies on the very delicate theme of violence to women; Roberta Bortolucci of ESO Consulting, for a training programme to promote self-esteem and a happy approach to daily operations in the company; Luigia Tauro of KnowAndBe.live, focusing on oncological prevention and correct lifestyles, with all guests following a block path with related diagrams to determine their level of knowledge about prevention.

The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Lella Golfo, President of Bellisario Foundation, that awarded Transmec Group of 2018 “Mela D’Oro” as a Work Life Balance Friendly company and Mr. Bonaccini Stefano, the President of Emilia Romagna, who spoke about the region’s goals and its new welfare plan, very similar to the one adopted by Transmec.

Guests were also addressed by Miles Vartan, a UK-based consultant, who spoke about the implications of Brexit.
