Transmec’s growth in India is continuing with the opening of a new branch in the southern city of Hyderabad.
The office is Transmec’s fifth in India, the others being in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru.
Managing a balance of inbound and outbound freight, all provide a full range of freight forwarding services, including air freight, sea freight and customs brokerage.
With Western buyers often demanding just in time deliveries, exporters are also able to take advantage of the logistics and distribution services offered by Transmec across Europe.
Director, Anil Malhotra, said: “Since our first office opened in New Delhi in 2006, we’ve developed a strong network across India with bases in key cities. Turnover has risen rapidly and we’ve seen double-digit growth over the last three years.
“Hyderabad is another excellent location for us. The city is the fourth most populated in India and a major centre for the technology industry as well as the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
“The new office has got off to a great start with a wide range of customers coming on board. We are now working hard to build on that success.”
