OFF SIDE
event: "Off side" performed by Marcello Maloberti object: Opening of the new Transmec Group branch in Truccazzano (Milan) On Saturday September 27th took place the opening of the new Transmec Group branch in Truccazzano, Milan (12.709 sq.m. of warehouse, 25.840 sq. m. of yard, 1.848 sq.m. of) with the performance of Marcello Maloberti, a Milanese artist, internationally known as one of the most interesting and innovative representative of the Italian artistic scenery. During his performance "Off side", the artist represents the extreme limit of his reflection subjects: the threshold concept, the feeling of human dizziness, precariousness, unsteadiness and inconstancy. The industrial building, with its 17 ramps for the loading/unloading of the goods, contributes to create his extraordinary non-action: a long red line - the draught is now a stylistic mark of the artist - which horizontally cuts the building façade and holds seven performers bodies which stretch out, like ready for jumping or fall down. This project and the publication released for the event, are evidence of Transmec will to communicate through different languages. The Company has always supported artistic research and cultural promotion. Such commitments directly rises from the characteristics of a Company which operates all over the world: innovation spirit and ability to keep a constant syntony with the current times. In this context and in view of a major valorisation of the emerging artists, take place Marcello Maloberti performance and the publication purposely realized. The event has been planned and coordinated by Mariangela Montecchi, in charge of Transmec Group external relations, in collaboration with Raffaella Cortese Gallery of Milan.
