THE ROAD... The history

Transmec Group is a forwarding, logistics and packaging company founded 150 years ago through the passion and devotion of the Montecchi family. The history of this long journey has developed together with the changes in the vehicles and communication routes which, in the course of one century, have radically transformed our way of living, travelling and thinking.

From the horse-drown “biroccio” cart of Domenico Montecchi to the powerful electro mechanical engines of the third millennium, from the dirt tracks to the international flight routes: thanks to the introduction of computerised procedures and of a modern network, able to guarantee high quality standards all over the world, the company has grown out of its belief in flexibility and technical innovation.

Transmec Group is now able to provide transportation services for all kind of goods throughout Europe and the world. “Trasporti Internazionali Transmec”, with its headquarters in Italy, includes branches in Great Britain, France, Belgium, Poland, Turkey, Spain, Germany, and takes care of transportation by land. Transmec Overseas, which is present also in Chile, Peru, Brazil, Venezuela and Singapore, manages sea and air freight. Transmec boasts a growing clientele of prestigious names such as Panini, Armani, Case New Holland, and always guaranteed by ISO 9001:2000 certification, obtained by the main companies in the Group.

The development of the logistics services offered by Transmec Log has enriched and improved the original competence of the group, which can now count on flexibility and on a wide range of services. Transmec aims to be the sole partner for the supplying of packaging, transport and logistics services, guaranteeing a total integration with the production process.
